Bakersfield Speech Therapy Group is an independent private practice co-founded by Andrea Nielsen, M.S., CCC-SLP (formerly Yako) and Tracy Battistoni, M.S., CCC-SLP. As Bakersfield natives, Andrea and Tracy are passionate about digging deeper into the rehabilitation aspect of their local community, providing exceptional in-home and clinic-based care for patients from birth to adulthood.

Both Nielsen and Battistoni are American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certified SLPs who received their Master's degrees in Speech, Language, and Communication Disorders from Nova Southeastern University. Both have worked in areas within the Speech and Language field including public schools, rehabilitation hospitals, and outpatient settings.
